Moist and dry food from the same company

Not many companies are in a position to make their own dry and moist cat food. Traditionally producers used meat-meal to produce dry food and fresh meat to produce moist food. Subsequently the two production processes vary immensely.

We select only the best ingredients for LEONARDO^® cat food.

To start with, all the ingredients – from fresh meat to crisp vegetables – go into the big blender.

The mixture is gently steamed to retain as many vitamins and nutrients as possible.

Then it is formed into suitably sized croquettes. We use steam because it is gentler than mechanical friction.

To ensure that LEONARDO^® dry food will keep without the use of preservatives, it is dried gently twice – outside then inside.

Finally, high-quality oil is added to give the croquettes a particularly tasty flavour. Every bag of LEONARDO^® is freshly packaged, checked and sealed.

LEONARDO^® cat food is a whole lot different

At our production site in the Münsterland region, we use fresh meat to produce both moist and dry food. The advantage of preparing our own fresh meat comes from having direct access to local suppliers. This means we have a direct influence on quality and can select meat that satisfies our high standards.
